Once selected, NDA cadets receive a stipend during their training years at Khadakwasla and their respective service academy, which increases as they progress through the training pipeline toward commissioning.

Starting Pay Post-Commission

On commissioning as a Lieutenant (or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force), officers are placed in the Level 10 Pay Matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with Military Service Pay and various allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Ration Money, depending on posting.
